Blossom Toilet Paper Holder Crochet Pattern

This cherry blossom toilet paper holder crochet pattern stores three spare rolls on a slim white strip that hangs from a wall hook. Soft pink mesh bands cradle each roll, and a crocheted branch of pink blossoms brings a fresh spring feel to the bathroom. It is a practical, space-saving make that also works as a thoughtful housewarming gift.

Why you'll love it

  • It keeps three spare rolls tidy and off the floor or tank lid.
  • The bottom ring is crocheted in, and the top strap forms its own hanging loop.
  • Alternating mesh and solid rows give the pink bands a crisp grid look and a secure grip.
  • The cherry blossom branch adds a pretty seasonal touch that is easy to customize.
  • Cotton yarn keeps it sturdy and washable in a humid bathroom.

    Assembly

    1. 1

Weave in all strip ends except the strap tail. Lay the strip flat, right side up, with the ring at the bottom.

    2. 2

Make the hanging loop: fold the strap toward the back of the strip and sew the last strap row firmly to the back of Row 88 with the strap tail.

    3. 3

Bottom band: lay one band over the strip. Using the band's tail, whipstitch its foundation edge (16 sc) across the full width of Row 6, matching stitch for stitch. Then whipstitch its Row 27 edge across the full width of Row 20. The band will bow outward between the seams.

    4. 4

Middle band: sew the second band in the same way to Rows 25 and 39.

    5. 5

Top band: sew the third band in the same way to Rows 44 and 58. Weave in all sewing ends on the back of the strip.

    6. 6

Branch: pin the main branch diagonally on the top section, starting near the center of Row 60 and ending near the right edge at about Row 84. Pin the twigs so they angle off the main branch toward the upper left. Sew all branch pieces in place with brown, using small stitches through the back of the cords.

    7. 7

Blossoms and buds: arrange the blossoms at the twig tips and along the branches, and tuck the buds between them. Sew each piece in place with its pink tail, then embroider a brown French knot in the center of each blossom.

    8. 8

Hang the strap loop on a sturdy hook and slide a roll into each band from the side.

    Important notes

    • Tip: This is an original pattern inspired by the photo. Hidden construction details, yarn weight, and dimensions are interpreted from the image, and the pattern has not been physically test-crocheted.
    • Tip: Abbreviations (US terms): ch = chain, sc = single crochet, hdc = half double crochet, dc = double crochet, sl st = slip stitch, MR = magic ring, dec = decrease (half double crochet two stitches together).
    • Tip: On the strip, the ch 2 at the start of hdc rows and the ch 1 at the start of sc rows do not count as stitches. On the bands, the ch 5 at the start of mesh rows counts as a dc and a ch-2 space.
    • Tip: Measure your toilet paper rolls before starting. For larger rolls, add 2 band rows (one mesh, one solid) and 2 rows to each roll section of the strip.
    • Tip: Cotton or a cotton blend is recommended because it holds its shape under the weight of the rolls and copes well with bathroom humidity.
    • Tip: Make sure the wall hook is secure enough to hold three full rolls.

    Pattern FAQ

Will this fit large or mega rolls?

The bands fit standard rolls up to about 4.5 in (11.5 cm) in diameter. For bigger rolls, add 2 to 4 band rows and the same number of rows to each roll section of the strip.

How do I change the number of rolls?

Each roll uses 15 strip rows plus a 4-row gap, or 19 rows in total. Remove 19 rows from Rows 6-86 for two rolls, or add 19 rows for four rolls, and make one band per roll.

Can I make the branch with surface crochet instead?

Yes. Instead of sewing on chain cords, work slip stitch surface crochet directly onto the strip in brown, following a branch shape you mark with pins or a removable fabric pen.

    How do I wash it?

Remove the rolls and hand wash in cool water with mild soap, or machine wash on a gentle cycle in a laundry bag. Reshape the blossoms and lay flat to dry. Dry the metal ring thoroughly so it does not tarnish.

    Can I use acrylic yarn?

You can, but acrylic tends to stretch under weight, so the strip may lengthen over time. Cotton is firmer and better suited to a bathroom.
